Pastor Author, pastor, faith-healer and a television host Chris Oyakhilome (also called Pastor Chris) is the founder of LoveWorld Incorporated. The company, also known as Christ Embassy is based out of Lagos, Nigeria. His unique and inspiring interpretation of God's Word has inspired millions of people around the world.
Pastor Chris: The Man
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th 1963, in Edo State in Nigeria. He was raised in a religious family with loving, committed parents. Oyakhilome He is the youngest son of Elder T.E Oyakhilome. Angelina, one of the early pioneers of the Assemblies of God's Church in Benin City, as well as the matriarch of the Oyakhilome clan. Oyakhilome family, who instilled her divine grace in her son from the beginning.
The whole family is actively engaged with the LoveWorld ministry. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Reverend Ken, his brother, is the revered pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston Texas Church and a member on Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren serves as the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry(LMAM) in which several gospel artists are among the top-selling artists worldwide.
Pastor Chris has two daughters, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon follows in her father's example of sharing God's Word with the World. As well as being known by CSO her name, she is an accomplished, award-winning gospel singer and is part of LoveWorld Music and Arts.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his studies at Edo College. Then he was granted a scholarship to study at Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. There he graduated with a BSc. in Architecture as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. He also has an honorary doctorate of divinity from the Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was his first university. He received his calling from God to enter the ministry and serve the Lord.
Pastor Chris: The Mentor
While in the university The Man of God started what would later turn out to be the biggest church worldwide. It began as a small group of prayer known as 'Youth for Christ'. The group would eventually become the foundation of LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy with a later number of millions of followers across the globe.
Under the direction of Pastor Chris, LoveWorld became a pioneer of satellite television and Christian programming. LOVEWORLDSAT was first Christian television station that broadcast from Africa all day long on free-to-air channels. There are LoveWorld satellite and cable television stations around the globe.
Christ Embassy has strong presence in Pastor Chris's home country of Nigeria, South Africa and Canada. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome The church has two Healing Schools located in South Africa and Canada, in which Pastor Chris organizes seasonal sessions during which miracles are performed.
Chris Oyakhilome Family Music and Gospel Music play an integral aspect of worship. Pastor Chris invites Christ Embassy Churches have a choir trained and supervised by the Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry. Many of these performers have had successful solo career.
The Future African Leaders Foundation, (FALF), is an organization that seeks to continue the work of Pastor Chris. The goal of the foundation is to celebrate and celebrate the incredible achievements of young, talented leaders. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome created the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation Internet (COFI) as an international non-profit organisation. Its mission is to aid the most vulnerable people and communities within certain countries and regions of poverty across the globe.
Apart from preaching the gospel message, the Man Of God has also created NGOs that provide vital services and hope to the most vulnerable and neglected people. Oyakhilome Five partners make up COFI which works together to improve living standards in the poorest areas.
COFI is the responsible organization for the InnerCity Mission ICM for Children, the Volunteer Medical Corps VMC, Traumacare International Foundation TCIF, Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF), along with the Bible For All Mission. Each of these organizations works to enhance the health, life, and spirits of those most in need.
The charity also provides food to children in need. Pastor Chris believes strongly in the need to build solid foundations for community through COFI, The InnerCity Mission and the advancement of accountable governance, good governance leadership and sustainable development both in Africa as well as other areas that are vulnerable of the world according to the Sustainable Development Goals.
